Peter Wray is a painter and printmaker, oiginally from the North-East, and now living and working in Newlyn, Cornwall. He was trained at Strawberry Hill College, Twickenham, Goldsmiths College, London and Leeds Metropolitan University. Wray has been involved in printmaking for over 30 years, and has exhibited extensively in the U.K., Ireland, Europe, U.S.A. and Japan. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers and his work is held by a number of prestigious galleries in England, Ireland and the Netherlands, and by numerous corporations, institutions and private collections.

He is a teacher/tutor in printmaking and painting, with 30+ years' successful teaching experience. Within his own practice, as well as painting, he works predominantly with Collagraph/Carborundum, and non-toxic Etching. In addition to his printmaking practice, Wray also works collaboratively with partner and fellow-artist, Judy Collins, creating mixed-media paintings based on the landscapes and coastline of Penwith.

As well as engaging in his own work, he also runs short printmaking workshops from his studio.
